Partnership opportunity within an award winning, multi-specialty medical group. Position is within a team of the most successful hospitalists in the South Texas. Traditional Schedule or seven on and seven off available.
San Antonio is the 7th largest city in the United States (1.7 million residents), with 8 major universities including both a premier branch of the University of Texas' Medical School, Dental School, School of Nursing and allied Health, and the home of Military Medicine at Fort Sam Houston - training Physician Residencies, Fellowships and all specialties within medicine down to military combat medics.
The position will require rounding on patients within varied settings (hospitals, SNF, Rehab, Nursing homes, etc.) and supervising a subordinate staff of physician hospitalists. The group's patient demographic is solely medicare aged. Exceptional call schedule, no requirements levied by the hospital this is a physician led medical group that does not WORK for the hospitals they round in.
Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine with a clean record free of malpractice or adverse license actions. Outgoing personality and the ability to serve as a Mentor and Manager of accomplished, experienced Hospitalists.
In addition, primary care experience within a managed care environment, a MINIMUM of two years experience as a hospitalist serving both Acute Care inpatient and post acute care services.
Dependent upon experience, however the compensation package and benefits within this award winning organization are at the top levels of physician compensation.
